Dogs may be one of the best creatures God has created. Having a pet dog is one of the best things in the world. They are indeed a man’s best friend. The joy dogs can give their humans are incomparable. They always wait for you to come home, and then they get excited when you’re back. They give you their one hundred percent unconditional love. So as a dog owner, you are responsible for them, and sometimes as dog owners, you tend to spoil and pamper your furry babies. If you’re thinking about adopting a dog, here’s a list of things you will need:
Dogs need to be walked outside. They also need exercise just like humans, and they usually love the dog park. A leash is an essential accessory to keep them safe, especially if they are the type of dogs who will run and chase around once you take them off the leash.
If you have a backyard, and you plan for your dog to run around it, it’s a good idea to get a dog house or cusca de caine as what they call it in Romania. A dog house can protect your dog while they are temporarily outdoors.
Food and Water Bowls
You should get a separate bow for food and water and put it in one spot. Your dog will know where to go when it’s time to eat.
Dogs need to eat dog food as it is complete with the nutrients that they need. Although some dogs tend to ignore their dog food when they get a taste of human food, so make sure they eat their dog food, maybe switch it up with a different kind if this happens.
You would need to bring your dog to the groomers once in a while. This should also depend on your dog’s hair. If it is the type that grows really long, you might have to bring it the groomers more often. However, the basic grooming you would need to do at least once a week. You would need dog shampoo, bristle brush, comb, and scissor for light trimming if required.
You have two options for these, simple identification tags or microchips. It is a good idea to have both. This is in case your dog accidentally got lost, and someone could easily return them to you.
Dogs love to chew on things. It’s a good idea to buy them chew toys, especially when they’re still puppies, or they will end up chewing your belongings.
